Use
Marseille soap as an effective stain remover: Wet and rub the stain with a moistened soap bar. Spread the foam on the garment, let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse with clean water. Repeat the operation if it is not completely removed. Then put it in the washing machine.
Marseille soap as a laundry detergent: Grate your soap bar. Dilute a small handful of the shavings obtained (20g) in 1L of hot water. Shake and let it sit for 24 hours. Stir again and add 1L of cold water. With an electric hand mixer, this gives a very good result. At this point, you can add a few drops of essential oil of your choice. (lavender, citrus, lemon, etc.) Your ecological laundry detergent is ready to use! Shake well before each use. It may turn a little into a paste when it is left to rest. But this is normal. Add water as needed and stir well. Voila!
Marseille soap for delicate clothes: Grate a little Marseille soap into warm to hot water to dissolve it to make your water soapy. It is a vegetable base so it dilutes less well in cold water. Then soak the delicate clothes and rinse with clear water afterwards or put in the washing machine.
